Replacement Process of Leaf Spring for Mercedes Benz

Prepare the Vehicle: Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and place wheel chocks to prevent rolling. Loosen (but don't remove) the lug nuts before jacking up the vehicle.
Jack Up and Secure the Vehicle: Use a hydraulic jack to lift the vehicle, then secure it with jack stands. Never rely solely on a hydraulic jack for support during repairs.
Remove the Wheels: Once the vehicle is safely supported, completely remove the lug nuts and take off the wheels to access the suspension components.
Support the Rear Axle: Position jack stands to support the rear axle, ensuring the vehicle's weight is properly distributed and stable.
Remove Leaf Spring Hardware: Using a socket wrench, carefully remove the bolts connecting the leaf spring to the vehicle. Then remove the U-bolts that secure the spring to the axle.
Lower the Rear Axle: Carefully lower the hydraulic jack supporting the rear axle to create enough space for removing the old leaf spring.

Secure with U-bolts: Install and tighten the U-bolts according to manufacturer specifications using a torque wrench for precise tightening.
Reinstall Wheels and Lower Vehicle: Reinstall the wheels, tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern, then carefully lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
Final Torque Check: With the vehicle's weight on the wheels, perform a final torque check on all fasteners according to manufacturer specifications.
